Panthers Look for Continued Success After Shared SAC Title

Snider football is one of Fort Wayne’s gridiron powerhouses. After winning a share of last year’s Summit Athletic Conference (with Bishop Luers and Carroll, the Panthers have now won 18 SAC titles. In the regular season, they also beat quality opponents such as Luers, Homestead, and Bishop Dwenger.

This year the Panthers return Luke Haupert at quarterback. Haupert has a year and a half of starting experience under his belt. His completion percentage, yards per game, and total touchdown passes all went up last year, while his interceptions went down.

Langston Leavell is Snider’s most experienced running back. Leavell averaged over 70 yards per game in eight games last year. He and junior Uriah Buchanan will likely share the load in the ground game.

This year, the Panthers’ defense has some quality seniors and juniors; such as seniors KJ Eldridge on the defensive line, Zyon Greene and Nick Talamantes at linebacker, and junior Lukas Rohrbacher, also at linebacker.
