Panthers Get a 4-Run 6th; Shutout Knights Again

Snider baseball hosted Bishop Luers at Hawley Field in New Haven on Thursday night. It was the second time this week the Panthers and Knights have played each other. The first meeting was on Tuesday. And just like on Tuesday, Snider won.

After five shutout innings, the Panthers scored four runs in the sixth. Kent Burkhead’s RBI groundout and Langston Leavell’s two-run single helped that cause. Aaron Fenn earned a complete-game shutout. Freshman Brandon Logan recorded the first out of the seventh and Snider ended the game with a 4-6-3 double play. The Panthers are 10-1, and are riding a 10-game winning streak.
