Bishop Luers defeated New Haven and Leo knocked off Garrett in the Garrett Sectional Semi-finals. They will face each other in the championship game on Monday at 1:00 pm.
The Knights got a complete game from pitcher Ben Weadock, who threw four strikeouts and only gave up one run. Cam Martinez and Qwenton Roach each came through with two-run hits in the bottom of the fifth. Those were part of a four-run inning, were Luers took a 5-1 lead, which was the final.
The Lions got 10 strikeouts from Coley Stevens, who also doubled in the first inning and then drove in two runs in the second. They also started the game with a five-run first inning. Leo won 10-1.
