Behind Hendrickson and Weller, Concordia Wins the SAC Cross Country Championship

The Summit Athletic Conference Cross Country Championship Took place on a foggy Saturday morning. And it was a day to remember for Concordia.

Vaughn Hendrickson won the boys’ varsity race with a time of 15:49.7. He finished 32.8 seconds ahead of second place. That helped the Cadets take first in the team standings, scoring 19. Also placing in the top 10 were Nick Spielman in second place and Hunter Panning in fourth. Six Cadets total cracked the top 10.

Northrop’s Conyer Wilson ran a time of 16:34.8. That helped his Bruins to get a second-place team finish. Their score was 75.

The girls’ race was also memorable for Concordia. Sophomore Mallory Weller won that race with a time of 18:06.9. She was 20.5 seconds ahead of second place. Five lady Cadets placed in the top 10. Lexi Panning finished second, and Sidney Scheumann finished third.
