Week 2 SAC Game Predictions

Carroll at Snider

Prediction: Snider wins 41-21

The biggest game this week will feature the only two teams that didn’t give up a single point last week. Something will have to give this time around. Snider quarterback Jon Barnes Jr. and Carroll quarterback Jeff Becker both led their offenses to over 40 points last week. It should be a fun game and an early test for both teams. Snider grabs the win and will improve to a record of 2-0.

Concordia at Homestead

Prediction: Homestead wins 42-13

Homestead and Concordia have played some good games in the past and this year the Cadets look to spoil the Spartans home opener. Last week, Concordia struggled to get things going on offense before they eventually pulled away and beat South Side 41-14. They can ill afford to do so against Homestead, who was up 30-6 against Northrop at halftime a week ago. With that being said, the Spartans get a nice win at home on Friday.

North Side at Bishop Dwenger

Prediction: Dwenger wins 49-7

You better believe Dwenger will be hyped to play on their own field for the first time ever. They’ll want to put on a show on what will be a historic night for Dwenger football. Quarterback Brenden Lytle will look to build off his 221 yd. 2 TD. night last week and have another great performance against the Legends. The Saints win it in blowout fashion.

Wayne at Bishop Luers

Prediction: Wayne wins 21-17

Last week was disappointing for both teams, but they’ll both look to bounce back on Friday. It should be a close game since neither team can afford to start 0-2 this season. They’ll both be fighting for their first victory at Luers and Wayne’s playmakers will be the difference. Expect Wayne RB Keshaun Fields to lead the way for the Generals to come out with the win.

Northrop at South Side

Prediction: Northrop wins 27-10

For the second straight week, South Side should be right in this game early. It’s another winnable game for the Archers and they’ll try to take advantage of the situation. It’s also a chance for Northrop to get back on track after a tough night against Homestead last week. Northrop will win the game in the second half and get their first win of the year.
