Norwell Falls to Andrean at Semi-State

Norwell came into Saturday 23-7 overall. They finished second place in a competitive Northeast 8 Conference and won the Oak Hill Sectional and Regional. The Knights were back at Oak Hill on Saturday for the Class 3A Semi-State playoffs against the Northwest Crossroads champion Andrean 59ers.

The Niners put away the Knights thanks in part to James Kirk. He had an RBI single in the first inning and a two-run home run in the third. Jack Vogt also came up with an RBI knock in the first. Andrean scored four in that frame.

Norwell answered with three runs in the bottom of the first. Cale Mallory started the scoring with a two-run single, and Trey Bodenheimer added an RBI single. But that was all the Knights would get. They would drop the contest 8-3.

Andrean also beat Heritage in the championship game. the Niners advance to the State Championship next weekend.
