Leo clinched a share of the Northeast 8 Conference last week with a 52-7 win against Columbia City. The Lions have a chance to clinch the conference outright with a win this week.
Mason Sheron led the Lions with 249 yards on six carries and three touchdowns. Quarterback Jackson Barbour added 67 yards on three carries and a touchdown. Carson Hoeppner and Tyler Hyre each averaged over six yards per carry.
The defense held Columbia City to just seven points, and came up with three sacks, eight tackles for loss, and three forced turnovers.
Leo takes on DeKalb tomorrow night. The Barons are 1-7, but they are a team that likes to throw the football, something the Lions have not seen much of in recent weeks.
