South Side cross country and track star Evan Walda has signed his letter of intent to continue his athletic career and his education at Valparaiso University. He has a 4.03 GPA and received a partial scholarship to go there.
Walda was a sectional cross country champion in 2019 and has reached back-to-back semi-state titles in that sport. In track, he was part of a 2019 relay team that made it to State.
