New Haven was 1-4, until this past Friday. That’s when the Bulldogs upset Columbia City, who had been 4-1 going into that game.
After the Eagles played three straight games where they scored 49 points or more, the Bulldogs’ defense shut them out 21-0. New Haven came up with four sacks, five forced turnovers, and seven tackles for loss.
The running game was a strength of New Haven’s offense. Quantri Sanders led the Bulldogs with 155 yards and a touchdown. And Jakar Williams added 48 and a touchdown.
Williams also went 10 for 17 passing, threw a touchdown pass, and on defense, he came up with a sack and an interception.
