Boyer, Kline, Steele, and Kinnison Return to Lead Lady Braves

After going 13-11 last year, Blackhawk Christian girls’ basketball brings back a lot of talent and experience. That includes point guard Ema Kline. She shot 33 percent from three last year and led the Lady Braves in steals and assists. Kline is coming off a torn ACL. But she has been recovering quite well and has been able to practice lately.

In addition to Kline, BCS returns a quality group of guards. That includes Malea Steele who can shoot the three offensively, and create turnovers defensively. It also includes Kenzie Kinnison. She’s also a good defender who’s quick to the ball-handler.

Though Aubrie Swain has graduated, the Braves return Allie Boyer to their frontcourt. Boyer was BCS’s leading scorer and second-leading rebounder. She also came up with 49 blocked shots on the defensive end.

Speaking of defense, Blackhawk Christian held half their opponents to less than 40 points last year. They’re typically good at pressuring the ball and forcing turnovers. The Lady Braves will look for more of that this year.
