Blazers Use Defense, Good Hitting to Run-Rule Lions

Published on

Eastside snapped a two-game losing streak on Easter Monday knocking off Leo 12-2. The Blazers improved to 3-2, while the Lions fell to 1-1. Eastside jumped out to an eight-nothing lead after two innings. They also got help from some good defensive plays from right fielder Wyatt Davis and center fielder Dackotia Reed. Reed and Caeden Moughler had three RBIs a piece, and also helped get the Blazers closer to closing out the W. Moughler came up with a two-run single in the third, and Reed hit a sac-fly in the fifth that made the score 12-2. Keaton Poley drove home both of Leo’s runs with a single in the third.
