A 6-foot-2, 220-pound lineman with the speed to run a 4.75-second 40-yard dash, he was not only a playmaker but also a cornerstone in the trenches for Adams Central’s 2024 title run. He paved the way for an offense that piled up 548 points (36.5 points per game) and more than 5,000 total yards, while anchoring the defense with 88 tackles, 15 tackles for loss, and 9.5 sacks. His standout play earned him recognition as a two-time all-conference and two-time all-state selection, and in the classroom he excels with a 3.86 GPA and membership in the National Honor Society.
That production and leadership helped Adams Central continue its remarkable run of success. After reaching the Class 1A state championship game three straight years (2021–2023), the Flying Jets moved up to Class 2A in 2024 and captured the program’s second state championship — its first since 2000, and first for head coach Michael Mosser — highlighted by a gritty 20-13 semistate win at powerhouse Andrean.

Who or what has had the biggest impact on your athletic journey so far?
My father, I would say, has had the biggest impact on me out of anything. Day in and day out, he pushes my limits. From making sure I don’t skip a rep and motivating me to lift on off days.
What’s your pregame routine or ritual that gets you locked in?
I start my pregame routine by going home and relaxing for around an hour, making sure fluids are up, and I get a healthy but not an overwhelming meal. Then I go to the school early to roll my body out on the pads. After that, I am in the locker room trying to get our players amped up for the game.
What’s your proudest moment in sports — and why does it stand out?
My proudest moment I’ve had was when the team and I from last year beat Andrean High School in semi-state. We showed up as the underdogs and brought it to them. Having a hard first drive shot confidence into our team. We were victorious and ended up going to the State Finals and winning it all.
What are your goals — both short-term and long-term — in your sport or beyond?
A short-term goal I have set for myself is to bring the punch on the first drive of each game. In my opinion, a very important determining factor in a game is if you and the team come out ready to play by the first snap. A long-term goal would be to focus on the game that week. Not worrying about what happened the week before or who we play the next week. Staying focused on the team you play the week of is very important to winning games and being successful.
What’s one thing most people don’t know about you — on or off the field?
One thing that I would say most people don’t know is that I love going to football practice and getting to be with my guys and having the opportunity to push them and myself to get better everyday as a player on and off the field.
