5 to Know: Garrett’s Aiden Hunt

All photos provide by Aiden Hunt

Garrett two-way lineman Aiden Hunt put on his hard hat and went to work last season, helping lead the Railroaders to their third regional title in program history during head coach Chris DePew’s final season of his 24-year career. The Railroaders’ ground game averaged 286 rushing yards per game and an impressive 6.5 yards per carry, with Hunt paving the way as a dominant offensive guard.

On defense, Hunt was just as impactful — finishing fifth on the team with 61 tackles while leading the Railroaders with 14 tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks. A three-time All-Conference selection, his outstanding junior season also earned him All-NECC Big School First Team honors and a spot on the IFCA Class 3A Junior All-State Team.
