Luers Basketball Wins SAC Title; Ups Last Year’s Win Total by 10

Bishop Luers is the 2020 SAC boys basketball champs. They got the tiebreaker over Snider and Carroll; having beaten both teams in the regular season. The Knights also won some big non-conference games against Mishawaka Marian and Hamilton Heights.

Luers went from four wins last year to 14 this year. They are led by a senior class that includes leading scorer Demarcus Hudson. Hudson is currently out due to injury but has averaged 16 points per game this year. The senior class also includes fellow double-digit scorer Jalen Causey, power forward John Peterson, and Landon Moore who leads the Knights in assists.

Luers’ junior class is led by second-leading scorer Naylon Thompson, as well as Lukas North who provides a big boost off the bench.
