North Side beats Culver Academy, South Side upsets Marion in boys basketball

Blackhawk Christian, North Side, Huntington North, and Norwell all earned big wins 

Friday, 1/5:

Carroll 57, Dwenger 50
• NATHAN FISH, CARROLL BOYS
He scored 16 points, hitting five three pointers and grabbed six rebounds
in a 55-50 win over Bishop Dwenger.
• HAYDEN SMITHEY, BISHOP DWENGER BOYS
He had 16 points and seven rebounds in the loss to Carroll.

Concordia 65, Luers 57
Concordia earned it first win in SAC play led by Adam Gottschalk, Brayden Pearson and Cleevas Craig all of which scored 15pts. The Cadets improve to 4-5 overall while Bishop Luers falls to 0-7 this season, Knights were led by Jaguar Jackson who had a game-high 19pts.

Snider 73, Northrop 63
• DILLON DUFF, SNIDER BOYS
He scored 24 points in the Panthers’ 73-63 over Northrop.
• MICHAEL ELEY, SNIDER BOYS
The freshman scored 18 points in the win over Northrop.
• ISAAC ANDERSON, NORTHROP BOYS

Homestead 70, South 69, 1OT
• ONYE EZEAKUDO, HOMESTEAD BOYS
He scored 17 points, including five in overtime. Ezeakudo hit the game
winning free throw on an and-one play with 0.7 seconds remaining to
secure the win over South Side.
• AMARI HALL, SOUTH SIDE BOYS
Scored 22 points, including nine in the fourth quarter in the loss to
Homestead

North 70, Wayne 64
• AUSTIN BOUCHER AND KEION BROOKS JR., NORTH SIDE BOYS
The one-two punch struck again as Boucher scored 25 and a Brooks Jr.
added 23 in the 70-64 win over Wayne to stay unbeaten in the SAC.
• KYLON JARREAU, WAYNE BOYS
He finished with a team high 21 points in the loss to North Side.
• CRAIG YOUNG, WAYNE BOYS
He scored 18 points and had eight rebounds in the loss to North Side.
