Football Cadets Bring Back Mannigel Along with a Senior Quarterback and a Senior-led Defense Published on August 11, 2022 By Thad Goff Tim Mannigel is back as Concordia’s head football coach. He spent 11 seasons at the helm through 2020. He continued to serve as athletic director last year while Mike Eshbach coached the team. Mannigel plans to use similar schemes to what he has previously run with a few differences. The defense has plenty of senior leadership; including James Rusher and Tyler Moher on the linebacking corps, and Landon Kaschinske and Tim Okeowo in the secondary. With Dontrell Johnson having graduated, the Cadets will have a new starting running back. At this point, Okeowo seems to be the front-runner at that position.Concordia does return a starting quarterback. Eli Mattox was the starter last year and averaged over 180 yards per game. He also started two games in Brandon Davis’ absence in 2020. Liked it? Take a second to support SummitCitySports on Patreon!
