New Coach/Experienced Hitters Ready to Lead Panthers Baseball

Published on

Snider upset Carroll in last year’s sectional playoffs, but then was eliminated by DeKalb.

This year, Josh Klinkenbeard takes over for the retired Marc Skelton as head coach. Even though this is Clinkenbeard’s first year as head coach, he has spent a combined 14 year’s on the varsity and JV staffs.

The Panthers bring back quality run producers Kade Hinton and Langston Leavell, as well as Domanick Moon and Aaron Fenn, who, along with Hinton, hit over .500 last year.

As far as pitching goes, Saint Francis commit Jakob Byler returns after wielding 17 strikeouts and a 3.9 ERA in 2021. As for the rest of the pitchers, Snider could rely on the likes of Kade Hinton, Brandon Logan, and others.

Snider’s opener is this Tuesday on the road against Blackhawk Christian, a team the Panthers beat 9-4 last year.
