Week 5: vs Snider
The Spartans have taken the top spot in our rankings for now, after their win over Dwenger. QB Luke Goode continues to have a phenomenal year and leads the SAC with 851 yds, 10 TDs, and no interceptions. RB Braeden Hardwick is leading the SAC in rushing with 626 yds, 9 TDs, and 0 fumbles. The Homestead defense also has 10.5 sacks this year and has yet to allow more than 15 points this year. If this team keeps it up with a win over Snider this week, there will be state championship expectations put upon them immediately. Tuning out the noise might end up being their greatest challenge as the season rolls on.

Week 5: at Homestead
Hopefully you haven’t forgotten the Panthers. They have been stationed at the #2 spot in our rankings for the first half of the year. Now as we near the halfway point, they have a shot to move up when they play Homestead. Snider QB Jon Barnes Jr has thrown for 586 yds, 7 TDs, and 0 interceptions. RB Lenny Bennett has 434 yds, 6 TDs, and 0 fumbles on the ground. The defense has 9 sacks and has forced 8 turnovers, while only allowing 1 sack and 1 turnover themselves. It may sound strange, but they are just one step below Homestead right now. That being said, this is a huge week for both teams and the game should be as even as it looks on paper.
#3: Bishop Dwenger

Week 5: vs Carroll
The Saints suffered a tough loss. They simply couldn’t finish drives on offense against Homestead. One of Dwenger’s biggest strengths was taken away from them against the Spartans. Dwenger normally wins their games with a rushing attack that wears down defenses and allows them to be in control of the clock. On Friday, the running game didn’t total 100 yds and they gave up 211. They can’t dwell on this loss too much though, with Carroll on the way.

The Chargers had another very solid win, this time over Northrop. This year, QB Jeff Becker has had great numbers for a sophomore, 740 yds and 10 TDs passing, while also having 352 yds and 3 TDs rushing. The defense has also been incredible with 7 ints and 13.0 sacks. Carroll will look to get a signature win over the Saints next week.

Week 5: at Northrop
The Cadets beat Bishop Luers on Friday to move to 2-2. WR Jalen Vanderbosch has 303 yds receiving off of 18 receptions and 2 TDs. QB Brandon Davis has quietly been one of the best QBs this year with 698 yds and 7 TDs this year. RB Amir Drew keeps playing well with 344 yds and 5 TDs rushing. This team has lots of talent on offense and could be tricky for teams to try and stop.

Week 5: vs Concordia
The Bruins will look to bounce back from their loss to Carroll on Friday after they were outmatched. RB Jeremiah Green will need to produce better than he did last week, when he only had 19 yds rushing.

The Legends had a tough start to the year, but they might be about to flip the switch. QB Duce Taylor will be a player to watch this week for North Side after a great 5 TD performance against Wayne.

The Archers have their best opportunity to find a win, this week against Wayne. In a matchup between winless teams, it will likely come down to which team still wants to win.
