Week 3 SAC Game Predictions

Published on

Bishop Luers (1-1) at Homestead (2-0)

Prediction: Homestead wins 42-3

It’s the tale of two rosters in this matchup. Luers comes into this game with a young and still mostly inexperienced team. Homestead is among the most experienced. You can already tell who has the edge. Combine that with the most productive QB in the conference, Luke Goode, who has 7 TDs and has completed .579 of his passes (33 of 57), both being the highest for any quarterback with at least 40 attempts. Look for him to contribute to those numbers even more on Friday.

Snider (2-0) at Concordia (1-1)

Prediction: Snider wins 44-6

Coming off their win over Carroll, the Snider Panthers look to keep rolling early in the season. They’ll likely be looking for their offense to score more 21 points like they did against the Chargers. If they do, the Cadets will likely have trouble keeping up with Snider and the game could get out of hand. In other words, Concordia can’t score 6 points like they did against Homestead last week. That’ll be tough when their facing Gianini Belizaire and the hard-hitting Jayshawn Underwood, along with the rest of the Panthers defense.

Bishop Dwenger (2-0) at South Side (0-2)

Prediction: Dwenger wins 52-0

The top and bottom teams in the SAC from a year ago will play this week. Obviously, the Archers are huge underdogs here and will need to play a near-perfect game in order to even have a chance to knock of Dwenger. It will be tough, with Dwenger averaging 38.5 points per game and South Side scoring 22 total. Bishop Dwenger should improve to 3-0 after a road win.

Carroll (1-1) at North Side (0-2)

Prediction: Carroll wins 31-10

Carroll moves on from their tough loss and faces North Side this week. The Chargers have surprised some early with how well the offense has played, scoring 62 points through two games. The Legends haven’t scored at all and have had a disappointing start to their season. Although, it’s not really the team’s fault it had to run into Snider, Dwenger, and now Carroll, right away. Don’t be surprised if Carroll gets off to a slow start in this game if they haven’t let the Snider loss go yet. It could be an interesting first half, followed by Carroll regaining its confidence and pulling away from the Legends.

Wayne (0-2) at Northrop (1-1)

Prediction: Wayne wins 27-17

This could end up being the only close game of the week, with both teams needing a victory. Wayne is winless and would like to change that as well as bring back the magic of their 2018 season. A win for Northrop would be huge and it would put them over .500 on the year. Wayne scores a late touchdown to secure their first win of the year.
