Boys Sports Spartans Ready to Battle After SAC Title Published on July 23, 2020 By Thad Goff Homestead football had a lot to celebrate last year. They won an SAC title; went undefeated in the regular season; beat marquee opponents Dwenger, Snider, and Carroll; and won a sectional championship. This year the Spartans return defensive talent that includes Luke Palmer, Matt Miller, Ryan Burton, and Cole Etchison. Leading rusher Braeden Hardwick returns and seems to be well recovered from his season-ending injury last year. They also bring back Jared Kistler at wide receiver. However, Homestead graduated a great senior class in Cam Rogers, Nik Martin, Griffin Little, Jake Archbold and others. They will also have a new starting quarterback as Luke Goode is focusing on basketball this year. Evan Ormsby, Grady Swing, and Peyton Slaven are competing for the starting job. Liked it?
