The Lady Chargers have rolled to a 4-0 record after winning their first game in SAC play at home against Northrop, 77-46. Carroll proved to be too much for the Lady Bruins in the second half as they outscored them 57-21, behind a 41 point surge in the third quarter. However, it took a while before Carroll got going. The Chargers trailed Northrop 25-20 at halftime with forward Tiauna White leading the Bruins. She would finish with 14 pts, 2 steals, and 2 blocks. Northrop couldn’t keep momentum in the second half though and Carroll went on their game-wrecking run to close it out. It was the usual stars making an impact for the Lady Chargers, with Emily Parrett and Olivia Hoeppner both reaching early season highs in points. Parrett finished with 19 pts, 6 reb, and 5 ast and Hoeppner had the most impressive statline of the night with 25 pts, 10 reb, 7 ast, and 4 steals. Carroll will face Hamilton Southeastern on Saturday, while Northrop will have to wait until Friday to snap a short 2-game losing skid against DeKalb.
