Poole, Donahue, and a Team Full of Upperclassmen Ready to Lead the Panthers

Snider girls basketball went 21-5 last year and made it to Semi-State, before being eliminated by Fishers. This year, the Panthers return a team loaded with upperclassmen.

Point guard Jordyn Poole and shooting guard Nae Nae Donahue return this year. They led Snider in points, assists, and steals per game last year and are now in their fourth year together as varsity starters. Poole and Donahue are part of a senior class that also brings back Ciara Sims, Tia Phinezy, and Kyray Parker. It also helps that the Panthers bring back quality juniors Brie Barnes and Zyann Phinezy.

The Panthers are known for defense. That’s been the case under former head coach Akilah Sims and under current head coach Reggie Tharp. Snider played just nine games last year where they gave up 50 points or more. They also came up with 372 steals.
