Last Friday the Homestead Spartans and Snider Panthers scrimmaged under the Friday night lights at Dave S. Walters Memorial Stadium.
Homestead got a touchdown reception when senior quarterback Peyton Slaven found Arlondo Sheets for six. The Spartans also got touchdowns from junior Kam Johnson (rushing) and 6-foot 7-inch senior receiver Grant Leeper (receiving).
Snider seniors Kamari Jaurez (receiving) and Langston Laevell (rushing) both found their way into the end zone for the Panthers. Snider won a share of the Summit Athletic Conference title a year ago and is many people’s favorite to repeat as conference champs.
