East Noble beat DeKalb in an offensive shootout. But their defense may be their Achilles heel. This week we will find out who the real #2 is between EN and Leo.

The Lions dulled the Bulldogs’ shine quickly as Leo handled business last Friday night. Did the Doerffler offense finally click? We shall see. They can move back up to #2 with a win this week.

OK finally. As a homer, I am hard on my Eagles. But I cannot hold them out of the top half any longer. 41 points on the Vikings is solid. But it is the shutout that impresses me. A winnable DeKalb game that eases the boys on State Road 9 into the heavy back half of the schedule… Could this be the year CC sees 6+ wins?!
5. New Haven

The Bulldogs made a big jump and now a big fall. This week does not get any easier for them facing a juggernaut. A win could propel New Haven back into the top 3. A 9/23 matchup with Columbia City is even more interesting now.

Dekalb has shown they have a solid offense. Defensively they must improve to move into the top half of the poll. A win vs a tough Columbia City opponent could help.

The Vikings gave East Noble a game a couple of weeks ago. But the Eagles beat HN on all phases of the game. The Vikings can get some confidence back this week and regroup.
