After only winning one game two years ago, North Side’s boys’ basketball had quite the improved season. The Legends went 13-10 last year. This year’s team brings back a lot of talent. Brauntae Johnson returns after leading the team in scoring as a freshman. Juniors Brashawn Bassett and Jordan Green return after averaging over 12 points a game last year. And Rodney Woods and Ryan Collins provide the Legends with quality senior leadership.
Gary Andrews is in his fourth year as North Side’s head coach. He brings plenty of experience to the table. He won three state titles as the girls’ head coach at Bishop Luers. He then led Saint Francis to a national title and eight Elite 8 appearances.
