Fifth-ranked Homestead hosted 28th-ranked Carroll in boys’ tennis on Tuesday at the Jimmy Clark Tennis Complex.
In singles’ Homestead senior Stephen Meier swept Carroll sophomore Andrew Jamison, winning both sets 6-0. Fellow Spartan Ben Garrean did the same to Alex Sznaza. Carroll did get a singles’ win from freshman Will Miller who defeated junior Sam Nietert.
In doubles, Homestead’s Alex Graber and Eric Ji played a close set one against Carroll’s Jaxson Sparks and Conner Gibson, with Graber and Ji winning 6-4. Those two also won set two 6-1. The fellow Sparty doubles’ team of Matthew Otten and Demesh Vamadevan also got a win. They swept Nick Drummer and Sam Mettler, winning set one 6-2 and set two 6-3.
