Leo was playing in its first-ever boys’ basketball state championship game. They took on Silver Creek, who won State back in 2019. Though the Lions trailed most of the second half, they got a valiant effort from Blake Davison. Davison led all scorers with 20 points and even got a late bucket that cut the deficit down to one.
However, it was the Dragons who won this one. The final score was 50-49. Silver Creek was led in scoring by Kooper Jacobi with 18 points and Trey Kaufman-Renn with 13.
