Brayton Thomas Awarded Crumback Player of the Year Award at Parkview Field

Published on

Perhaps you’ve heard by now that Bishop Dwenger pitcher/first baseman Brayton Thomas has been named this year’s NEIBA Dick Crumback Player of the Year. Well, today, Thomas was presented with the award at Parkview Field just before the Fort Wayne Tincaps’ game against the Peoria Chiefs. Thomas also got to throw out one of the ceremonial first pitches. And Dwenger’s baseball program was given a $1,000 donation from the Crumback family and the Fort Wayne Baseball Federation.

On the mound, Thomas has a 1.24 ERA and leads the Saints in strikeouts with 72. At the plate, he’s hitting .380 and leads Dwenger with 27 RBI’s.

Of course, the Saints aren’t done playin’ ball yet. They’ll take on New Prairie at Semi-State on Saturday. That game is scheduled for a 2pm start at Kokomo Municipal Stadium.
