South Side 1-1 after beating Northrop in week 2 of the 2021 IHSAA football season. The defensive line proved to be a huge factor against the Bruins. Jaylen Lattimore, Trevor Hapner, and Michael King III all contributed to getting pressure on the quarterback.
Another major factor was the Archers’ running game. Anthony Thomas rushed for over 100 yards. Jaylen Lattimore scored three touchdowns and came up big in multiple short-yardage situations. Quarterback Quincy English added a rushing touchdown in the fourth quarter.
South Side’s next game is against Bishop Dwenger. That game is set to kick off at 7:00 PM tonight.
