5 to Know: Leo’s Nathan Foster

Published on

At 5’8”, 180 pounds, Nathan Foster brings elite burst to the backfield with a 4.4 40-yard dash, but it’s his all-around game that sets him apart. A 1st Team All-Conference selection and National Honor Society member with a 3.5 GPA, Foster is as sharp in the classroom as he is explosive on the field.

As a junior, Foster racked up 1,312 rushing yards, 11 touchdowns, and an eye-popping 9.79 yards per carry. He saved his best for the biggest moments — torching NE8 conference champion East Noble for 411 yards over two games for head coach Jason Doerffler.

Check out the 5 to Know with Leo’s dynamic playmaker, Nathan Foster.

Who or what has had the biggest impact on your athletic journey so far?

My love for the game and my family have really helped me over the years in pushing me forward.

What’s your pregame routine or ritual that gets you locked in?

My old pregame ritual was a box of mike and ike’s before the game, but now it’s a pack of fruit snacks.

What’s your proudest moment in sports — and why does it stand out?

My proudest moment was getting 23 tackles in my youth football championship game, and it stood out because I set the Warren Jets record for most tackles in a game.

What are your goals — both short-term and long-term — in your sport or beyond?

My short-term goal in football is to help my team win each game, and my long-term goal is to get a full ride somewhere and play college ball.

What’s one thing most people don’t know about you — on or off the field?

I love anything that has horror in it, movies, games, and books.
