Panthers Look to Standout Secondary, Solid Rusher, and New Quarterback to Lead the Way

Published on

Snider has been one of Fort Wayne’s football powerhouses for years. They made it to Semi-State last year but lost to Valparaiso in overtime. This year the Panthers bring back second-leading rusher Uriah Buchanan. He averaged 6.4 yards per carry last year. Buchanan will likely share the load with backs such as Jordan Davis and Ladonnis Clopton.

Ke’ron Billingsley takes over as Snider’s starting quarterback. He replaces three-year starter, Luke Haupert. Billingsley completed 80% of his passes in six games played. He was also a solid runner, averaging over five yards per carry.

The secondary includes some ball-hawking safeties. Brandon Logan led the Panthers in interceptions last year with four. Levi Overholser added three picks of his own. Jamarion Kolagbodi is expected to be a standout corner. Defensive end Adam Blakey was very effective at penetrating an opposing offensive line. He returns as a senior, along with Will Kelso, who started mostly at defensive tackle last year. The linebacking corps brings back leading pass-rusher Lukas Rohrbacher; along with Landen Fry and Jake Tippmann.
