Last friday the 3rd annual legends relay was held at North Side high school.
The meet was kicked off by the girls distance medley. In which the Columbia City Eagles and South Side archers were neck and neck to begin before the eagles took control and set a record time of 7:05. Lickey, Sigler, Mullinax, and Baxter were the 4 runners for the Eagles.
Another shattered meet record was from Jaliyah Paige as she ran the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 14.67.
Then the Legends had another great performance as they ran the 4 by 100 meter relay winning with a time of 49.87. Fowlkes, Mckenzie, Ridley, and Paige were the record breakers.
And the common of this meet was breaking records as yet another was broke when Felice Mullinax ran 1:40 in the 600 meter run for Columbia City.
The Mile run was swept by the Dekalb Barons as Lydia Bennett won the first heat followed up by Abby Detray in the second heat.
Then in the 4 by 400 the Chargers blew away the competition with a time of 4:11 which was good for a meet record. Vie, Floyd, Myers, and Sunderlin were the 4 runners for the chargers.
Then in the girls distance Medley the East Noble Knights broke yet another record at this meet running a 14:19. With Rodgers, Lindsey, Colin, and Gibson being the runners for the Knights.
