FORT WAYNE – It’s a big signing day for a number of Fort Wayne athletes.
At Homestead, Brady Sheenan and Drew Lunsford announced they continue their baseball careers. Sheenan will stay in town and play at IPFW. His teammate Lunsford is heading to Hope College, an NCAA Division III program in Holland, Michigan.
Homestead’s Brayden Law will run track and cross country at Michigan State.
Leo’s Nate Morris will play golf at NAIA Taylor. Classmates Lydia Baldwin is heading to play golf at NCAA Long Island University. Maddie McDonald is heading to Indiana Tech.
Saint standout Taya Andrews will play at NCAA Division II basketball at Roberts Wesleyan in Rochester, New York. She’ll play for her uncle former Saint Francis women’s basketball coach Gary Andrews.
Football players Joe Knepper, Landon Myers and Blaise Park along with baseball player Jack Harris will continue their careers at USF. Other football players Matthew Litchfield, John Federspiel, Joe Stiegmeyer and Sean McAbee will play at nearby Trine University. Tim Fean is heading to Marian.
Alex Barton will run cross country at IPFW. Kyle Miller is heading to IUPUI for golf and Tim Topp will bowl at Huntington University.
